Candidates About
My name is Iman Elbahay, 49 , an English language instructor. I graduated in Faculty of
Education, English department in 1993 and in Faculty of Arts, English department in 1995, had a
special two-year diploma in education in 1995 and pre-master studies in 2006 and now I am
looking into having my masters in International and Comparative Education. I have been
teaching English as a second language at Sadat Academy for more than 20 years for different age
levels ranging from Junior high school to adults, different academic levels from beginner to
advanced levels, TOEFL preparation, ESP, conversation, prepared and monitored exams for
university students and adults. I have been also teaching online at Noon Academy for 4 years
curricula of prep and secondary Saudi education, so I have a professional knowledge dealing
with gulf curricula and online platforms. I have sufficient experience dealing with platform tools
and online learners, design student-centered courses, able to understand and assess learners’
needs, keep records of students to evaluate and monitor their progress and achievement, and give
required training and preparation for exams and life situations. I am also experienced in teaching
business English, IELTS, and TOEFL. I sometimes design courses according to learners, needs
and targets, which makes the learning experience unique and just- for- the-learner and triggers a
lot of fun and achievement.
I am an avid learner and devoted teacher. Believing that professional development is vital for a
good teacher, I usually go to TESOL Conference at AUC every year, to be always aware of new
trends in education. I love learner-centered content and believe that successful learning
experience should revolve around the student’s needs and capacities. Most important for me is
the student’s psychology and how to help them adapt to the teaching-learning environment and
to build rapport between me and them. Let’s hit the road with our success together.
